By that I mean, if you are someone that likes to get "under the hood" to make customizations. It will be interesting to see how the Nook vs Kindle war unfolds in the coming months as the Android OS continues to mature and gain in popularity. The nook, being based off of an android OS and utilizing touchscreen technology, can automatically upgrade its firmware, which the kindle cannot do. (I also like the thought of being able to automatically apply a major GUI change, rather than buy a whole new unit if the interface changes.) One more thing that I kind of like about the nook, once more going on it's android OS... its very easy to root the nook and increase it's functionality (which comes more into play with the nook color, but the nook1 can also do some cool stuff).
