The HUGE advantage the Nook offers is that public library ebooks can be downloaded and read on the Nook for FREE while the Kindle system is not compatible with EPUB, my library's ebook format.

Elderly Geek:

I'm still a loyal fan to the Kindle - mainly for its content. I was just on vacation and it was so nice to be able to download magazines and newspapers to read on my flights. And sitting around the pool with it was priceless. Until these other devices have access to more than just books (i.e. magazines and newspapers), I think they will have an uphill battle with the Kindle.

I favor the Nook over the Kindle at this time anyway. I also have my hopes pinned on the Android software and the hope that B&N will endow it with the ability to run Android aps. If that happens, it may not be a Kindle Killer but it will at least wound the Kindle.
