Adding notes or highlighting text is possible with the Kindle although you can only do it using the keyboard and not “freehand” as the Kindle isn’t touchscreen yet. These features though have been omitted from the Kindle for iPhone app, but I think you can read whatever notes you’ve made on your Kindle (if you have both). If you want to make notes using a stylus, you can do that with the newer models of the Sony Reader. Hope this helps!
